Last Friday (opening day), I went to see the long awaited Jurassic Worldjurassic-park-Rexy (Tyrannosaurus) [V.1] ! And I only have one word to describe it:

EPIC!!! Headbang! :squee: Raptor La Icon

Universal and Legendary did NOT disappoint all the Jurassic Park fans this year (though that's my personal opinion). I liked how Chris Pratt played his character - Owen Brady - in the film, as a sort of "Raptor Whisperer". Despite Hoskins' plans for the raptors, Owen understood that you can't really "control" a raptor any more than a lion tamer can control big cats. I especially loved the scene where he literally RIDES with the raptors! Emotes...mote...mote...moto :omg: revamp  Nobu and Buno Choirla

BEST. SCENE. EVER!!!!

He also knows that dinosaurs are as awesome as they come! In the movie, when Claire says a new attraction would up the "wow factor", he says: "They're dinosaurs. Wow enough!"  THANK YOU! Doesn't take a genius to figure that one out! In fact I believed that ever since I saw the very first Jurassic Park movie back in 1993!
Also, we learn something that I'm certain will silence all the "accuracy haters" out there. Particularly, the ones who complain about the appearance of the dinosaurs. In the middle of the film, doctor Henry Wu reveals that he and the other scientists who work for the park's company have ALWAYS filled the dinosaurs genome gaps with modern animal DNA, and that if they were pure they would look VERY DIFFERENT:omg-whut: OMG SHOCK. WTF IS THAT? :omg: v2 revamp NO...WAI...  Revelation! That means that ever since the first park, the dinosaurs look the way they do, and not how many paleontologists today believed they did, is because their DNA in NOT 100% PURE!!!  So any and all "accuracy haters" out there who may be reading this, NOW you can give it a rest!

All in all, it was a great movie that I recommend any fan of the film franchise to go see! I enjoyed so much I even went again today to see it! I personally cannot wait until the movie comes out on DVD later this year! I hope all of you enjoy it as much as I have!Jurassic Park - Velociraptor (M) [Clarence] [V.1]

First of all, Happy New Year to everyone who still watches out for me! I know I haven't been here as often as I should or as artistically active. But you know how life is. I was looking at some My Life as a Teenage Robot stuff on Ebay as of very recently. I was watching this special rare DVD of "Escape From Cluster Prime" hoping that maybe I could be the proud owner of it. But sadly, I waited to long :cries:. But you know, the DVD was all the way in Russia and the guy was asking for like $50-$60 for it and I have no PayPal account so . But maybe one day I'll find another copy. You can see what it looks like at the sellers page: maidaneh.livejournal.com/15395…  I had also been looking at doujinshis of the series by fans in Japan or close to the country, but many of the older issues are sold out :( If anyone knows how to acquire such rare collectibles please let me know!
On a more positive note, I'm heading to my first "semi-comicon" event called the Midwest Media Expo in Detroit this weekend! I'm looking forward to it and am going with a friend I made at work (FYI, I have been working for D&W Fresh Markets for TWO years as of the first of this month). I don't know what to expect, but I'll make the most of my trip.
I hope everyone else is doing ok, and hopefully in the not too distant future I can post some new artwork. Until then, see ya!

  • Watching: News stories on Robin Willams
I had just found out today about the tragic loss of comedian Robin Williams. At age 63, he died at a reasonably young age. Many of you I'm sure are familiar of his many roles in countless movies such as Ferngully (voice of Batty), Aladdin (voice of Genie (perhaps his most recognizable role)), Bicentennial Man, Mrs. Doubtfire, and his recent role in the Night of the Museum movies (as Teddy Roosevelt), as well as many others. No one will be able to replace the kind of charm and humor that he himself was able to display. May he rest in peace.
