Description

This is series 2 of the "Rex Prime" creations. This is the "Reptile" series. These are the first four:

Experiment#011
Codename: Cynog-11, Dog Lizard
Height: 3'2"
Length: 6'4"
Description: Created from the DNA of a primative reptile known as Cynognatus, this is practically the wolf of the project. Traveling in packs, they attack whatever they can, overpowering their prey by sheer numbers. They are extremely vicious! So much in fact that they'll even attack each other! They hunt in either dense forest areas, grassy plains, or in desert/rocky habitats. Their eyes are able to shine when light reflects of them, such like in normal dogs. However, savage as they maybe, they themselves sometimes fall prey to larger predators such as the Dilophos X. Even though they are fierce hunters, they won't pass up the opportunity to pick off from other kills made by other predators, if they can get close enough and move fast enough that is.

Experiment#012
Codename: Collosus
Height: 8'2"
Length: 12'9"
Description: Created from the DNA of an ancient reptile known as Colossochelys, this is one of the heavyweight monsters. Although tortoises are naturally herbivorous, this creature is also able to hunt for prey. Impossible? Allow me to enlighten you. Thanks to its earthy coloring, it can easily blend into its surroundings, either it be a forest or mountain area. It lies in wait for unsuspecting prey to pass close enough. Its neck is specially designed to work like a spring. it pulls in its neck into its shell and uses an internal mechanism to prepare to strike. Its strike range is roughly 7 feet in length. When its prey is in range, it strikes with a force comparable to a train wreck. Its sharp beak grapples its prey and it shakes its prey until it's dead. Sometimes it is the force of the strike itself that kills its prey. When competing for territory or mating rights, males usually bellow at each other to intimidate each other. When that fails, they usually perform a battle of strength, shoving each others shell until one of them gives up or tires out. Its sharp claws are rarely used for hunting, they are primarily used to dig up roots and tubers. However, if it feels it is threatened, it will use its claws to drive the enemy away. If that fails, it will draw itself into its shell until the danger has passed.

Experiment#013
Codename: Lystro-13, Tusk
Height: varies (pictured Plains species is 1'3")
Weight: varies (pictured Plains species is 5'6")
Description: Created from the primative reptile Lystrosaurus, it is probably the only specimen that has three different sub-species, one for a particullar habitat. When cattle food stocks became low (which were used to feed the animals) we created this creature purly as a new prey item. We used the hormones of rabbits to help speed reproduction, and now there is more than enough to feed our other wonderful creations. The Plains "Tusk" (the one pictured here) is adapted to living in the grasslands. The other two sub-species include the Forest "Tusk", which is twice as large, has a more heavily built upper body, and is a darker green than brown. And there is the Desert "Tusk" which is slightly smaller than the Plains "Tusk", and much leaner and more built for digging through the sand. Each species use their tusks to dig up roots or strip bark from trees, but the Desert "Tusk" eats shrubs or small insects.

Experiment#014
Codename: Tuaterror
Height: 5'4"
Length: 16'8"
description: Created from a modern reptile, the tuatara, it has been given new abilities to survive in a hostile environment. It has been given not only the ability to dig more efficiently than before, it is now also able to climb trees/rocks and swim in a crocodile manner. It not only eats rough vegetation, but it has now become a fierce hunter. It has produced spikes along its body probably for protection from other predators. Sometimes it will swing its tail as a porcupine would to ward of enemies. In territorial/mating battles, the two individuals will wrestle each other in the same manner the Komodo Dragon or other monitor lizards would.

---
Note: Experiments #011, 012, and 014 are not afraid to hunt humans as a source of food. However, since the population of our kind is becoming to large for our settlement, it may be necessary to sacrifice a few party members for the good of the project.

Well, this is part two of the "Rex Prime" series. More will be coming up soon.
